Twelve winners became millionaires, RM28.54 Million in Prizes won
(Kuala Lumpur, 4 Feb) — Even before the arrival of the Year of the Horse, Da Ma Cai has kicked off the festivities early, with a total of RM36.81 million in 1+3D jackpot prizes paid out in January.
In a statement released today, Da Ma Cai said that on the draw night of 17 January, 12 lucky winners successfully joined the ranks of millionaires, collectively sharing more than RM28.54 million from the Da Ma Cai 1+3D Jackpot 1, while Jackpot 2 also paid out RM1.94 million in winnings.
This was followed by another RM1.29 million payout from 1+3D Jackpot 1 on 25 January. In addition, two users jointly claimed a RM5.02 million 1+3D Jackpot 1 prize on 28 January.
As of today, many winners have already come forward to collect their prizes. Among them was a lucky winner from Balakong, Selangor, who won RM2.42 million. In an interview, he admitted that he had never imagined such a major turning point would come before the New Year.
“I participated casually and never expected it to be my turn. It was truly unexpected,” he said.
He shared that on the draw night, he checked the results at home via the Da Ma Cai mobile application. At first, he thought he had misread the numbers and checked them repeatedly.
“At the moment I confirmed the win, I didn’t shout. I just sat there taking deep breaths, thinking I was dreaming. It wasn’t until I called my family to look at it together that I realised it was real.”
On the day he collected the prize, the winner kept a low profile but could not hide his excitement. He revealed that the winning ticket was jointly purchased with his siblings. After several days of discussion, the family decided to use the prize money to provide better medical treatment and daily care for their mother, who had previously recovered from cancer but still requires long-term care.
He admitted that the prize money came at a crucial time, as household expenses are increasing with his children about to enter tertiary education, while his mother continues to need ongoing care following her cancer treatment.
He also added that he does not participate in every draw, but only joins in with a “let’s give it a try” mindset together with his family when the jackpot amount accumulates to a higher level.
