Man won RM19.65 million jackpot on lucky 5th May

A 59 year old man from Melaka who bet rationally with only RM2 bet, became the lucky winner to take home the long accumulated Da Ma Cai 1+3D Jackpot of RM19,654,734 on 5 May.

Two other winners who played House Share System Bet shared the remaining prize of RM259,545. In total, Da Ma Cai distributed a total Jackpot prize of RM19,913,979.

The winner said he has no confidence to retire amid the economic downturn. His monthly salary is spent on food, housing loan, and car loan, I can barely keep a little money.

Donate part of winning to charity
He said although his son has graduated, and is working as an intern in a company based in Kuala Lumpur but he still requires family support. Even with the Employee Provident Fund's latest announcement on the launch of Account 3, he is reluctant to withdraw the money as the fund is meant for retirement.

He said he believe that winning the Jackpot requires persistence in addition to luck, as he have been trying this set of 2257 + 2930 winning pair for several months.

“After I scanned the ticket through dmcGO and found that I had won, it took me eight days to come forward to claim my prize. My family and I had planned how to use this windfall wisely. Taking into consideration my financial situation, some investment goals, and the needs of my family, I am grateful knowing that this newfound wealth has allowed me to have retirement all planned out. Following in the footsteps of Da Ma Cai in donating to The Community Chest, I will also donate part of the winning to the education cause.”
