Da Ma Cai reaches out to Malaysia Lotus Charity Care Centre Association

Semenyih, 21 April 2017

The early morning shower did not deter Da Ma Cai staff volunteers from reaching out to the needy at Malaysia Lotus Charity Care Centre Association (MLCCCA) through its Staff-In-The-Community programme.

To kick-off the Programme for the day, the team took the initiative to shop for electrical appliances and daily necessities before visiting MLCCCA located at Semenyih, Selangor. MLCCCA started as an old folks home in 2001 with 7 elderly people. Over the years MLCCCA grew in size and currently looks after 25 senior citizens of over 50 years old and 26 children aged between 1 and 17 years old.

Upon arrival, Brother Michael, the caretaker of MLCCCA showed the staff volunteers around the Centre and introduced some of the residents. The staff volunteers spent half day engaging with the children and old folks at the Centre, before hosting a buffet lunch for them.

In the spirit of giving, RM4,500 vouchers were also presented to MLCCCA to purchase groceries for  the Centre’s daily use and learning materials to encourage the children to study. The donation had lightened their financial burden.

“Our place was burned down in February last year and we lost all essential items. It has been tough to keep the Centre running, but thanks to many well-wishers, we are able to go on providing to the residents here. We really appreciate Da Ma Cai for today’s warm-hearted gestures,” said Brother Michael.

“Now we are also able to get more learning materials such as revision and exercise books for the children with the vouchers donated to us. One of our many focuses is the need and importance of education for our children as we want to see our children grow towards success,” he added.

Speaking about the initiative, one of the Da Ma Cai staff volunteers said, “We are happy to be part of this meaningful Programme as it is our passion to support and help those in needs.”

In February 2016, a massive fire burned down part of the Centre, forcing the residents to evacuate the premise. The blaze also destroyed most of the donated food and necessities items. Currently, the Centre is relying solely on public funding to meet their expenses. For enquiries and donation, please contact Brother Michael at 016 – 627 7239.

Da Ma Cai Created 11 Millionaires, RM24.4mil Jackpot Won During The Qing Ming Weekend

Kuala Lumpur, 7 April 2017

Nine millionaires were created when they won the Da Ma Cai 1+3D Jackpot through the House Share System Bet (HSSB) Lucky Pick betting option. The lucky winners shared the jackpot of RM21,930,224.40, where each of them took home RM2,436,691.60.

Da Ma Cai spokesperson said, “Customers usually buy a System Bet with 10 or more sets of 4-digit numbers to increase their chances of winning the 1+3D Jackpot. A System Bet 10 ticket with 10 sets of numbers cost RM90, but for those who could not afford, the HSSB is an option that allows customers to buy a share of the 10 sets of numbers with just a fraction of the full bet amount.”

“In the case of these 9 lucky winners, they had paid a fraction of only RM10 for the HSSB 10 Lucky Pick ticket each, covering 10 sets of numbers instead of paying the full RM90 to cover all possible pairing combinations”, added the Da Ma Cai spokesperson.

The winners are from different States; Penang, Perak,  Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor. Among the newly created millionaires, two were under the age of 30.

“I was out with my family members on that day after paying homage to my ancestors in conjunction with Qing Ming. On the way to lunch, we stopped by a Da Ma Cai outlet to buy numbers. I bought a HSSB ticket displayed at the counter because I was hoping that my ancestors might just bring us luck. I wasn’t even sure how HSSB works but fortunately the Da Ma Cai sales operator explained to me the special features of the HSSB,” said the delighted 27 year-old, the youngest amongst the lucky winners.

“It was my third time buying a HSSB ticket. I usually bet on my car plate number and birth date. The HSSB ticket actually contains my car plate number in it, that’s why I bought the ticket. Moreover, it’s affordable at only RM10,” said another 29 year-old lucky winner.

Both young winners said that they will share their windfall prize with their family members, and will also donate some to charity.

A day earlier on 1 April, another 2 lucky winners took home the partial jackpot with the purchase of a HSSB 20 Lucky Pick ticket. HSSB 20 cost only RM20 for 20 sets of numbers, to cover all 190 pairing combinations. They took home RM1,248,610.50 each with the winning combination of “3060+5020”.

The day started at 10.30 a.m where the students and volunteers gathered at Deerland Park. The students later gathered for lunch and the dining hall was filled with excited chatter as the students exchanged their experiences and laughed over the photos taken with the animals. Right after the sumptuous lunch, the group adjourned to the National Elephant Conservation Centre.

While exploring the Centre, the young students were taught and encouraged by their teachers to hand feed the elephants with food provided such as sugar cane, papaya and peanuts. Though it was a hot day, the students also watched the elephants bathing by the specially trained mahouts. Each of the elephants was then introduced to spectators on their background and ability. The mahout shouted out simple instructions to the elephants where they performed some simple yet funny acts to keep the crowd entertained.

“This is one of the unique opportunities for close-up views of some of the wildlife species; it definitely helps the students in learning through observation and interaction. Kuala Lumpur, 28 June 2013

Da Ma Cai would like to congratulate 9 lucky winners in its latest 1+3D Jackpot draw on 26/06/13, who won a total Jackpot amount of over RM11.6 million; thus making each of the winners an instant millionaire. This is made possible through the unique feature of Da Ma Cai’s House SSB.

Instead of buying a 1+3D system bet, the 9 lucky winners purchased Da Ma Cai’s House SSB. What is a House SSB? The chances can be further increased by buying multiple House SSB bets. Therefore, instead of spending RM90 for a System bet of 10 numbers, you can convert your RM90 into 9 House SSB System 10 bets and increase your pairs from 45 to 405 pairs, with the same equivalent amount of investment. However, your winnings will also be divided by the number of shares in each House SSB.

Why stop at System 10 for 45 pairs when you can invest House SSB in multiples of RM10 to increase your number of pairs beyond 45 pairs? There are 30 House SSBs choices for the customer to choose from, ranging from House SSB 10 to House SSB 150.

Sikh Gurdwara Grateful For Timely Contribution - Da Ma Cai Brings Vasakhi Goodwill

Kuala Lumpur, 5 April 2013

Vasakhi, an ancient harvest festival, celebrates the birth of the Sikh community, collectively known as the Khalsa and also represents the start of the New Year. It is one of the most significant holidays in the Sikh calendar and Gurdwara Sahib Kampung Pandan Settlement at Kampung Pandan will be celebrating this important festive.

As part of this corporate social responsibility activity, a group of volunteers from Da Ma Cai recently visited the Gurdwara. Volunteers were treated to a sumptuous vegetarian dinner with delectable Punjabi delicacies, namely chapati with chickpeas curry, kheer (rice pudding) and vegetable and fruit salad, prepared by community members of the Gurdwara. The volunteers also had the opportunity to learn more about the Sikh way of life.

Da Ma Cai RM500,000 Lunar New Year Cheer For The Needy

Penang, 5 February 2013

With the resounding clash of Chinese cymbals and drums of the traditional lion dance, the 2013 Da Ma Cai Chinese New Year Festival Charity Programme for northern region were celebrated at the Penang Home for the Infirm and Aged today. The charity programme is an annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by Da Ma Cai since 1994.

Held for the nineteenth year, the Festival Charity Programme this year will see a total of RM500,000 contributed to 50 charitable organisations nationwide, benefiting individuals under their care. The financial contribution will go towards the development of charities and voluntary organisations that provide services for the elderly, orphans, socio-economically deprived and disabled communities. And with this year’s contribution, the Festival Charity Programme has surpassed the 12 million Ringgit mark.

Pan Malaysian Pools Sdn Bhd Managing Director Mr Tan Kong Han said PMP always believes in giving back to society and the vision for the betterment of the society has kept this philanthropic effort running for 19 years since the inception in 1994.

“Recent years have shown it has been a challenging time for the nation, with the global economy facing tremulous economic conditions, and it has taught us that life can be unpredictable. If we have felt the brunt of trying economic times and escalating inflation, imagine the deep impact it has on the lives of the less fortunate. For the underprivileged, festivals and celebrations are simple luxuries that many are not able to enjoy. We are therefore happy that the Da Ma Cai Chinese New Year Festival Programme has been an avenue for us to share the joy and happiness of the festive season with the needy,” Mr Tan said.

In conjunction with the launch for the northern region, Da Ma Cai organised a Chinese New Year extravaganza for some 200 guests comprising the disabled, orphans, the elderly and the poor. Guests were treated to a sumptuous lunch while being entertained by stage performances and interactive fun games. In keeping with tradition, ‘ang pows’ and mandarin oranges were also presented to the guests.

At the ceremony, cheques were presented to 15 charity bodies from Penang, Kedah and Perak amounting to RM150,000, which is part of this nationwide programme.
